My 2 (almost 3) year old daughter really likes Mrs. Jennifer, and I think it's because she gets enough of the one on one interaction and attention that she gets from her. She used to go to a regular preschool, but it was too overwhelming for her, and so there would be a lot of bad days - I could tell from the dried-up tears on her face. At Mrs. Jennifer's, the teacher to student ratio is perfect for her. I can also see that every day that she is there, she is actually learning a lot from her because of the things that she says and how she says them, and I can tell that she's probably mimicking Mrs. Jennifer. Most importantly, I know that she has a fun time with her because I always ask if she had fun, and her answer is always "yes." I know that my daughter is well taken care of by Mrs. Jennifer while I'm at work, and so, it definitely gives me peace of mind. Also, Mrs. Jennifer has always been flexible and willing to work my crazy super-early morning schedule. We are so thankful to have met and have Mrs. Jennifer in our lives. 2/5/2019

After working with Jennifer in a classroom setting, I highly recommend her childcare program. Jen is compassionate, patient and kind. Her years of experience and thoughtful approach to children in a learning environment sets a tone for academic readiness and emotional stability.   7/30/2018

I struggled finding a childcare facility for my son that could offer him the attention he needed and where he could feel safe.  I also had trust issues.  With my son's last daycare provider, there were substantiated reports children were being physically abused.   Hence the trust issues.  In looking for a new daycare provider, I did the tours, I checked licensing backgrounds and read their experiences.  Capital Village (Jennifer) caught my attention because of her experience with special needs and working with the school district.  What a blessing!  My son and I are both happy!!  He doesn't want to miss school because he wants to go to daycare "everyday".  So win win.  Added bonus- Jennifer understands him and knows how to meet his needs!! In listening and observing Jennifer, the experience she lists aren't just words written to fluff up the website.  She has the skills.  And - Yes - I have been misled or misinformed before so finding Jennifer was refreshing. 10/18/2018

We had the opportunity to work with Ms. Matheson in the Emotional Support Program at Excelsior Elementary School. Ms. Matheson was able to follow IEP goals and behavior plans, remained calm and professional when students had aggressive behaviors, and always approached the students with kindness and patience. 10/15/2018

When supporting students with emotional and social challenges, Jennifer always demonstrated great compassion and empathy. She was cognizant of students' varying needs and strengths and how to use them to connect with students. Jennifer was able to learn and implement specific behavior plans across a variety of settings, including special education, general education, exploratories, and physical education. In crisis situations, Jennifer remained calm and followed established procedures. She appropriately used deescalation strategies to support students and maintain the safety of other students. Throughout her time working in my classroom, Jennifer showed great care for students. It is without question that she works with students’ best interests in mind. 10/23/2018
